Eva, thank you for sharing your story! The clarity and honesty in your journey is very inspirational. I switched from pursuing fine arts to design in my late 20s. I was disillusioned with how performative much of the 'fine art world' was, and more importantly, wanted to start and support a family. I've deeply enjoyed how collaborative design is and bringing better experiences to end users. It has always been clear to me that it is a commercial application of skills to further a business strategy.
What a great storytelling Eva, as a good lover of literature I must say that I was captivated by your story, I was eager to read much more, I hope you can continue writing... 💜

Thank you for sharing your story Lawrence!
Indeed, the art world is highly performative and a bit of a parallel universe to the actual world of creating art.
I enjoy how straightforward design is and - as you very well stated - a commercial application of skills to further business strategy.
Thank you!
Wow, speechless!

Thank you so much for the kind feedback Fatima.
Thanks for sharing this. You write well.
> I taught myself Photoshop and Illustrator. I got very good at it, but the steep
> learning curve with all Adobe products constantly left me wondering - who designed this?
I think many people who become product designers have a story similiar to this one :)
Thank you!!
The answer finally came to us when we became product designers LOL
